Service Description
This WSET L1 is special one. It is a collaboration between Rebecca Lamont and Anne Minors who were both in the Merseyside Youth Orchestra, where they found their happy place with others for whom music was a passion. Both believe strongly in the value of music in education and this event is for those who would like to study wine and support music in education at the same time. Anne is a supporter of World Heartbeat Academy in Wandsworth offering ensemble music making of all genres to young people and this is the charity we are supporting at this event. TheRLWS is providing WSET L1 Award in Wines, with lunch at St Jacques Restaurant in St James’ Street, London to support the work of World Heartbeat. The course is subsidised and priced by TheRLWS at £145pp (normally £245pp) to include your wine, course book, exam and lunch. This is to provide an opportunity for you to make a donation to Worldheartbeat.org in addition (suggested donation £100). A link to the charity can be sent once you have made the booking. The donation to World Heartbeat will give meaningful opportunities to young musicians in Wandsworth. The course is on Saturday 26th July from 9am to 5pm. You will receive a certificate and pin if you answer at least 70% the questions correctly. You will arrive just before 9am and meet Rebecca and fellow course participants. You will receive your course materials and then the course begins in a fun and interactive approach. The schedule: 9am-11am – Syllabus: Climate impact & Grape growing, Winemaking, Classic Wine Styles Break 11.15am - 1.15pm Syllabus: Principal Grape Varieties Lunch 2.00pm - 3.00pm – Syllabus: Food & Wine Matching* & Wine Service 3.00pm - 3.45pm – Revision** & Mock Exam 4.00 - 4.45pm Examination 4.45pm - 5.00pm - glass of bubbles & carriages *There will also be items to sample for food and wine matching exercises and a lunch is provided so please supply us with your dietary requirements. **Revision will then take place before the 45 minute multiple choice exam containing 30 questions in exam conditions, stipulated by WSET. We will then have a glass of bubbles before sending you on your way to enjoy the rest of your weekend. Your course results will be emailed to you approx. 4 weeks after the exam date. Cancellation Policy
Clients wishing to cancel, may have a full refund up to 14 days before the course. Clients wishing to cancel in 14 days leading up to the course will receive a refund minus an administration fee of £75.
