1. What is your wine mission?


Maintain the standards of my wines, using sustainable methods and continue to lower my carbon footprint


2. Next big thing in wine?


For me is two fold, firstly to continue with my Blanc De Noir bringing it to a standard I am proud of and secondly to increase the production and range of my sparkling wines.


3. Your ‘go to’ glass after a hard day?


A glass of my wine, which reminds me in so many ways that it is all worth while.


4. Music paradise?


Depends on the occasion, easily pleased


5. Preferred colour?


Green


6. Favourite film?


Can’t narrow it down


7. Fondest vintage?


Depends on the wine, 2015 Sémillon, 2018 Sauvignon Blanc etc


8. Oak or stainless steel?


Stone & Stainless


9. Best place to eat?


Our back garden


10. Food and wine matching purgatory?


For me I enjoy the journey of drinking wines and discovering what food works, however I can’t stand the insistence that it’s necessary, a glass of wine should just be enjoyed in its natural form.


11. Guilty food and wine match?


Not someone who ever feels guilty where food or wine is concerned.


12. Favourite wine writer (apart from yourself)?


Jane Anson


13. Wine ‘fad’ irritation?


The constant necessity to change a pure product when its good its good, you don’t have to make it orange or blue or anything else


14. Most delicious cheese?


Brie with truffles


15. Inspiring novel?


Can’t remember the last time I had enough down time to read anything....


16. Damascene wine moment?


When my first commercial buyers told me my wines were really good, I think i just walked out and cried.


17. Most beautiful vineyard in the world?


Never have the time to leave mine and have a look

My 2018 Sauvignon Blanc

Alaska


20. Best advice?


It’s never too late to change your life's course be brave and give it you’re best shot, you’ll never regret that overflowing glass of life.
